The North Texas Kanes are a continuation of a long-standing Kanes tradition in North Texas.  Kanes football began in 2008 as a select football team. Coach Paul Quinones led a committed staff of coaches whose focus was on teaching strong football fundamentals, advanced position skill development, the importance of teamwork and most of all having fun while cultivating a love for the sport. With these goals the Select Kanes attained success over several seasons and many of those players are now playing varsity football in local high school programs.

In 2011 as many of the Select Kanes aged out, the Kanes returned to recreational football as a team in the Keller Youth Football Association and began training a new generation of Kanes. The team has enjoyed consistent winning seasons and numerous Championships in the league and has seen many of these athletes make the transition to select football in recent years.  In addition to coaching 2 Kanes teams Coach Paul Quinones also served as the league's VP of Football during many of these seasons with KYA.

In Fall 2017 Coach Quinones will be taking a group of 9U athletes who are ready for the next level of development back into the world of select football.  The Kanes program will continue to stress self-discipline, concentration, friendship, leadership, and good sportsmanship.  Athletes will be challenged both physically and mentally in an effort to maximize development in football AND in character.

Wearing the Kanes logo is a privilege dating back a decade and it will only be offered to those special athletes who put 110% into everything they do on and off the football field.  We are always looking for Kanes who are up for the challenge!
